Events
At the PACS Institute, our events bring together peace researchers, NGO professionals, and policymakers from around the world. Through conferences, side events, and interactive workshops, we foster dialogue, disseminate our latest research, and drive actionable change in global peace and human rights.

Academic Conference: Peace Reimagined
In 2023, the PACS Institute participated in the Ontology of Peace Workshop—an intensive, interdisciplinary forum organized under the auspices of the International Social Ontology Society. The workshop convened global scholars, practitioners, and policy experts to critically reassess the conceptual foundations of peace. As part of this event, the PACS Institute presented its paper, “Reframing the Ontology of Peace Studies,” which proposes an innovative, evidence-based framework for understanding peace not merely as the absence of violence but as a dynamic, sustainable social condition. The session featured interactive discussions, peer reviews, and collaborative brainstorming sessions that challenged traditional paradigms and sought to establish a clearer, more actionable basis for peacebuilding and human rights advocacy.

On the 7th of April, The Institute for the Study of Peace met with civil society movement “Nya Principer För Politik” to discuss methods for building sustainable peace. Join us for this investigation into the science of peace.

Roundtable: OMNI Network
The Institute for the Study of Peace will send a representative to Fayetteville, Arkansas, USA to engage with civil society peace organization OMNI and present the latest peace research.
