We are honored to have the support and guidance of a remarkable group of individuals who comprise our Advisory Council. These esteemed experts offer invaluable insights and strategic direction to advance our mission of promoting peace through knowledge.

Our Advisory Council members actively contribute to the development of our research agenda, participate in our events and webinars, and collaborate on projects that align with their areas of expertise. Through their wisdom and experience, they help us navigate the complex landscape of peace and conflict and ensure our work remains grounded in intellectual rigor, integrity, and innovation.

  • Dr. Marina Caparini

    Dr Caparini is a political scientist whose research has focused on governance, institutional reform, peacebuilding, and the nexus between security and development. She has published on diverse aspects of security and justice governance in post-conflict and post-authoritarian contexts, including police development, intelligence oversight, civil-military relations, and the regulation of private military and security companies.

  • Dr. Miranda Melcher

    Dr. Miranda Melcher is a teacher, researcher, podcaster, and author. She received her PhD on civil war peace treaties and post-conflict military integration from King’s College London’s Defense Studies Department. She also aims to expand academic and specialist knowledge more widely, as a podcast host on the New Books Network and for the Just Access NGO.

  • Oskar Sjöstedt

    Oskar Sjöstedt is an Organizational Developer for the United Nations Association of Sweden (Svenska FN-förbundet)​. He works to keep Sweden’s chief UN civil society organization in line with UN policies, procedures, scope, and missions.

  • Martin Q Larsson

    Martin Q Larsson is the manager for Subtopia’s incubator Katapult, focusing on creative and social entrepreneurs. Originally a classical composer, he has a solid background in Swedish and European culture and social and economic policy. Martin works hand-in-hand with entrepreneurs to develop their visions into sustainable organizations.

  • Marie Wahlström

    Marie Wahlström is a certified Business Coach with extensive experience connecting academia with business and society. She has chiefly supported the Foundation of Marketing and Technology, the Stockholm School of Economics House of Innovation, and the Stockholm Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) Executive School. Marie has worked extensively with the challenge of “Servitization,” and has a broad network among both companies and academics.

  • Andrea Nilsson

    Andrea Nilson is a Communications Officer with over a decade of experience working for the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC).

  • Amy Au

    Amy Au is Digital Communications Manager for the Right Livelihood Foundation, strategizing for and managing campaigns and content production. Outside of her current role, she is the Communications Lead at the UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network – Youth Initiative (SDSN Youth). Prior to joining the Foundation, she was the Digital Communications Manager at the Danish sustainability think tank Sustainia in Copenhagen, and a journalist in Hong Kong.
