Advancing global peace through interdisciplinary research and policy action

The PACS Institute is an independent peace research and advocacy organization bridging academic rigor with practical action. We conduct interdisciplinary research to strengthen global peace and human rights, informing high-level advocacy, inspiring policy reform, and working toward sustainable, equitable peace worldwide.

Core Values

  • Rigorous

We pursue an evidence-based approach that questions assumptions through careful analysis, ensuring each insight is grounded in solid research.

  • Interdisciplinary

By integrating diverse perspectives, we build comprehensive frameworks that deepen understanding of peace and human rights and encourage creative solutions.

  • Transformative

We translate complex academic findings into practical strategies, enabling policymakers and communities to pursue sustainable, lasting change.

Areas of Work

  • Curved white bookshelves filled with books in a modern library with dim lighting.

    Research

The PACS Institute produces peer-reviewed, interdisciplinary research that reexamines traditional paradigms of peace and human rights. Our goal is to generate impactful knowledge and provide robust philosophical and policy justifications for global human rights and peace frameworks.

    Advocacy

With UN Special Consultative Status, PACS engages directly in high-level advocacy. We translate scholarly insights into policy recommendations and work with international institutions to promote structural reforms and more effective peacebuilding strategies.

    Education

Through seminars, workshops, and specialized training, PACS equips researchers, civil society actors, and policymakers with knowledge and skills. Our educational programs connect academic insights to practical tools, preparing participants for effective peacebuilding work in the field.

    Innovation

PACS questions the foundations of current human rights systems to envision the next generation of rights-based mechanisms. Our innovation arm explores long-term global futures and helps design frameworks capable of withstanding emerging challenges.

    Alliance for Peacebuilding (AfP)

As a member of the Alliance for Peacebuilding — the largest global network of peacebuilders — we collaborate with organisations advancing just, evidence-based approaches to peace.
